A goal is not always meant to be reached; it often serves simply as something to aim at.
- Bruce Lee
In lean manufacturing there is the concept of perfection. It means delivering exactly the value required by a customer at exactly the right time with absolutely no waste. It's something to aim at.
Perfection does not mean perfect adherence to a defined model. I wonder if those who worry about doing True Scrum or True Kanban or True XP are focused on the model instead of on the goal.
Many arrows may strike the same target without colliding in flight. Is there not more than one path?
Just wondering.
